Sheridan Concrete Delivers Key Milestone at Manchester Printworks Redevelopment

Sheridan Concrete has recently completed a successful phase of works at the Printworks in Manchester, as part of the wider Sheridan Group involvement in the ongoing renovation of this landmark venue.

The works formed part of the redevelopment of the Bierkeller and the former nightclub Pure, both of which are being transformed into a new sports bar within the Printworks, Manchester complex.

Our team carried out a total of 44m³ of concrete across three carefully planned night-time pours. Due to access restrictions within the building, concrete was decanted into large tubs and positioned to form a new mezzanine floor between the Bierkeller and the old Pure venue.

Working at night in a live city-centre location brought its own challenges, but through good planning and close coordination with the site team, each pour was completed safely and efficiently. The new mezzanine will create additional usable space and play an important role in linking the two areas as the refurbishment progresses.

This stage marks an important milestone in the overall Printworks renovation and provides the structural base for the next phases of the project. It’s another example of Sheridan Concrete’s ability to deliver reliable, high-quality work in complex environments and on tight programmes.

We’re proud of the team involved and pleased to be contributing to the transformation of one of Manchester’s most well-known venues.
